While she was gone, Alexander set up the table, and then spent some time being nosy. He looked curiously at the salt and lime, opened the bottle of tequila and sniffed it. Ooft. He picked up the little speaker, and turned it over in his hand, not really certain what it was or how it worked exactly.
Maryanne reappeared, and Alexander put it down with a bit of a clumsy thud, as if he'd been caught doing something he really shouldn't.
"Um. No, I haven't, but I've heard good things," he admitted with a smile. He took a seat and uncovered the plate with a small smile. He wasn't really used to being cared for like this, and at times it threatened to be overwhelming.
"Water's great. Here, anyway. Clear as glass," he commented, tipping the bottle to examine the filtered water with some interest. "Is Applejack with the children?" he asked after a moment, realising that although Philip was all grown up, he hadn't asked about Maryanne's little ones in a while.
