Is it?' Ari couldn't remember ever wearing anything that looked remotely like it, so it was a genuine question. Long skirts without any pockets weren't exactly the best choice on a starship.

Following the other woman's line of sight to the food stall, she took her meaning. 'I could – would you tell me what's safe for someone who isn't local to eat and drink, please, and what a reasonable price would be?' Given a reasonable amount of time, these were things she could likely have deduced for herself – but she was hungry enough already.
