Liberty leaned in, and Alexander couldn't help but smile fondly. It was comfortable, and warming. He was sure he was meant to be creating a little distance and being a bit more respectful, but he wanted her there, he liked having her close. There was no real harm in it, not if she was comfortable in return.
"I hope so, too," he told her, that smile not shifting at all. She was talking about them as a unit, wasn't she? And God, he was probably drunk, but there was no denying that he liked the way it sounded. "We might do, with these doors... it's crazy. The possibilities..." he trailed off, thinking not about the lights, but about all the places he might get to visit with Liberty by his side.
And there was another thing he loved. Liked. That she could slip so easily into talk of business, and she wasn't always getting on at him to step back and rest and slow down. She was with him, she liked it about him.
"We're a pretty good team, yeah?" he grinned back at her. "I'm really glad you came, too. You faced your fears, and you're totally smashing it."
