It was all very exciting, and Philip of course did nothing to discourage his friend from showing off. He had never seen anything like it, it was even more incredible than being at the circus or something. This was no magic trick, it was real!
Even with him speeding around, Philip just cheered him on, jumping up and down and giving him all the adulation he probably enjoyed.
But then something went wrong, and there was absolutely nothing Philip could do to help from the ground.
"Uh oh, hold on!" he shrieked helplessly as he friend clung upside down. What should he do? Run and get someone, or... too late.
Philip screamed in horror as his friend hit the ground, and then ran towards him to try to help. "Sirius! Oh no, oh no, are you really hurt?" he asked, and then the other boy started crying, so that answered his question.
He came skidding to a stop beside his friend and kneeled down next to him, eyes growing wide as he could see how wrong his arm looked. "Oh no... it's okay, it's okay," he told him, trying to think what he'd do if it was his little sister. "I'll get your uncle."
