"Yeah, one big happy shiny family." Eddie muttered. His tone was slightly sarcastic, but there was an element of truth there. When the station wasn't messing with them, they were a better family than his biological mother had been.
"You don't know that. Station shit usually goes back to being okay." Eddie said, stressing the word usually. In his younger days, he would have been able to rattle off statistics, how many times people got stuck back in time, or been separated from their loved ones, other changes that had stuck. He'd lost track of that over the years as a conscious choice to not worry as much - and the station had rewarded him with this bullshit. "Thanks." He added. At least he could protect the others for a while.
"I'm not Bonnie's species. Shine ghosts always looked like god-awful, rotting messes to Dan and Abra on their world." Eddie's worst fears of death, and dirt combined into one. If there was a way to kick the station in the balls, he'd do it. He nodded. "Okay. Guess it's worth a shot."
