Eddie gave a simple nod of acknowledgement. It might be selfish, he knew, but he was relieved that the first person to see him wasn't one of his extended family. Of course, he knew Blank too, having grown up spending time watching movies in his theatre and occasionally checking to make sure it was still okay. He'd always had that anxious side, and the current situation wasn't helping.
"It's still me." Eddie said out loud after a moment. "The me that grew up on the station." He added to clarify for the reality he was from, and his age. The kid version of himself would be doing an even worse job of handling this shit. "I'm sorry you can see me, looking like some fucking chest-buster alien came shooting out of me." It wasn't that far from the truth. Pennywise had technically been an alien and had stuck his tentacle-leg right through him. Only, it wasn't supposed to happen to this version of Eddie.
"This goddamn fucking place. It's bullshit, fuckin' with us all the damn time." The words were tumbling quickly out of Eddie's mouth now. Being able to vent actually did help. It was easier to be angry than scared. "Asshole magic is no better than some damn bully laughing at us while ruining every damn thing."
