Miguel ([info]miguel_ohara) wrote in [info]spinningcompass,
Arcturus' growing unease with the window was more than obvious, so when he asked to go to the bookstore, Miguel had no problem with agreeing. "That's fine," he said, taking his phone out of his hoodie pocket and slipping it into the front pocket of his jeans. It would be far less likely to fall out and smash on the ground floor, although it wouldn't be the first time that had happened to him.

"I'll meet you there!" he said, even as he lifted his free arm up to fire a line of webbing up at one of the walkways above them. At the same time, he jumped off of the one hanging from the ceiling. The webline anchored itself and went taut at the right time for Miguel to start swinging towards the bookstore, although he let go at one point to do a series of leaps, handstands and somersaults off of some different walkways and light fixtures to get him onto the right floor for the bookstore.

He landed neatly on the guard rail outside the store and paced along it a little as he looked around for Arcturus. But then, he wouldn't see him, would he? The wizard used concealment charms when he flew that even managed to hid his bodily heat, so Miguel couldn't even see him in the infra-red spectrum. Eh, whatever. He flipped down off of the guard rail and went to stand just inside the store's entrance, since that was where the snow wasn't, and fixed his hair while he waited to see where his friend was.
