Enjolras had just become completely sucked back into his old world, and all of that anger he had felt at the state had come rushing back in a blur of red. Everything he had said on the network about it not being the time, and it not being their place, and how he didn't hold a grudge... all of that had just evaporated in the presence of one corrupt, bastard police officer.
He didn't really know Kat well enough to predict how she might react, but he was pleasantly surprised. She wasn't timid, she wasn't urging him to run away. She stood her ground, and spoke clear as anything, confidence and anger laced with the two simple words.
Enjolras felt his eyes widen slightly, and he glanced over at Kat with a sort of pride and awe. He really should have had his eyes on the cop, who of course didn't take too kindly to being spoken to in such a manner.
"Comment oses-tu! Je vous arrĂȘte tous les deux," the officer spoke. But there were two of them, and only one of him at the moment.
"Oh, yeah? Come on then!" Enjolras switched to English, tilting his chin up and gesturing clearly that he wasn't about to go willingly. "I change my mind, this one we make pay," he told Kat, although he was sure it didn't need said.
The officer blew sharply on his whistle to attract back up as he reached out to grab hold of Kat first.
