Who? Bill and Ben
Where? By the waterfall in the Park on Wheel One
When? Thursday afternoon
What? Snow and Talking
Warnings? TBC?
Bill was perched at the top of the small escarpment that dropped down maybe seven or eight feet to the lower level in the park, his feet dangling over the edge where he'd kicked the snow off so he'd have somewhere to sit. The waterfall was off to his left, close enough that he could hear it easily but nowhere near enough for any spray to hit his sketchpad or pencils. They were the special ones that turned into watercolor paint when you used water, so Bill really didn't want the spray getting near them. At least, not until he'd done the first few sketches and preliminary drawings. He figured that when he got closer to doing a bigger drawing, it might be pretty cool to have the waterfall "help" with the drawing and have the spray create random patterns. But that was a ways off. For now, he was just sketching interesting views he could see from his vantage point, especially now that the snow had arrived and covered everything in a white blanket.
Dan's annoyance with the snow had broadcast briefly across the Shine, before it was tamped down on (and hard), and Bill couldn't help but check on his teacher/therapist(/...friend?) even though it wasn't the man he'd known for years. He send a quiet "???" through the Shine, but Dan brushed it off and told him he was fine. Bill took him at his word, and was soon busy working at getting angles and lighting right on the page in front of him. He almost missed Ben approaching, he was so caught up in the bones of the drawing.
