"Nope. Not hurt," he answered honestly, if a little bluntly, as he started tidying up the academic mess he'd left all over the corridor. Unaware of what had actually happened to him, he really just wanted this encounter to be over with as quickly as possible so he could get back to his search.
But then she asked a more interesting question, one that actually made him pause. Robert got to his feet as he shoved the last of the paper back into his satchel, and put it over his shoulder ready to make a run for it if he was wrong about this person.
