Of course Hemingway didn't recognise the partial greeting, or the style of salute that she offered him, but he'd been tossed around in time and space often enough by now that these things didn't even get a raised eyebrow out of him anymore.
He did catch sight of the iron band, glancing at it just for a moment. It was funny what those in power were willing to do to squash the things they feared.
"Yeah, that's me," he nodded. "Good to meet you, Katarin. This is The Normandy," he jerked a thumb over his shoulder to the ship behind him. "Shepard said JARVIS, her sort of AI, will take us where we need to be. Shall we?"
