Enjolras gave him a genuine smile in return, and then raised a glass with him. "To health and revolution, although the two often do not go hand in hand," he said, with a bit of a teasing tone. He took a sizable drink, and then placed his glass back down on top of the bar.
He felt warm, and he was sure it wasn't only the wine to blame. Not alone had a surprising ring to it. Dan was far more sincere a person than any man he had desired, and Enjolras didn't think it was disingenuous at all. It was a pleasant surprise.
"So, what have I missed?" he asked. "Other than you near dying of loneliness, of course," he added with a cheeky wink.
"And, perhaps more importantly, whatever do you have planned for this bright and happy future of ours?"
