AU Dan and Abra
He nodded at her question; he wasn't nearly as strong as he'd been as a kid, but then again, he'd actively stopped doing anything consciously with his Shine for a long time. Innate ability or not, a lack of practice at doing something was bound to make it weaker, right? "Bill and his friends, they're the Derry kids, aren't they? From your class."
He'd been about to lift one of the cornbread muffins to try them, when Abra showed him how she'd helped his other self deal with Rose. He grabbed hold of the image and looked closely at it, both his eyes briefly clouding over as he used his Shine to amplify and see all the details; yes, watching Rose fall to her death was amazingly satisfying and he might just replay that part later, but the scenery around where it happened was different. He knew that the Overlook's outcome had been different for Abra and her Dan, but he didn't recognize those mountains at all. Weird.
He still didn't like them, though.
In response, he showed her his memory of how he'd dealt with Rose, by letting all the ghosts in his lockboxes out and then watching as they tore her apart and fed on her Steam. He stopped the memory just as they all turned to face him, though. "That was the last thing I saw before, well... here."
