Best features? Huh. "The orange would make my eyes look even redder. It might be good for Hallowe'en, but I'm not sure how that would be for Dia de los Muertos. It's not something my Abuela really talked about."
Miguel sat up a little bit straighter at the mention of a field trip, the blinkers moving as he did. He wanted to spend time off the station, especially with Maria, because being back on a planet sounded fantastic. A little voice sounded at the back of his mind, reminding him that the last time he'd left the station that wasn't through a door, Loki had... done what he did, but he ignored it as best he could. "That sounds like," he began, speaking rather than signing until he clamped down on the little voice and then realized what he had done. But he would not fall down a spiral, and he would not get all skittish and weird and have to leave. He was enjoying himself right now, right? And he wanted to continue doing so. So, in the time-honored tradition of being Miguel O'Hara, he went along with the Science and continued to help plan Maria's "experiment".
"That sounds like a good field trip," he signed, and then carefully reached towards Maria and gestured at her ponytail before bringing his hand back so he could continue to sign. "What about your hair? Do you think it will lighten in color at all?"
