Miguel couldn't help the slight catch in his breath when she ran her hand through his hair. He had never been one for a lot of touching in public to begin with, but the last person who'd done anything like Maria had just done was Ava, and she'd been gone long before he ever showed up on this station. He'd thought she might seriously have been studying his hair at first, but then she sat back and he caught sight of her grin. Ha. He smiled back as he replied. "It's very thick. It used to have red in it too, if I was out in the sun for a while," he admitted. There wasn't much sun after shock-knows-how-long spent on the two stations, though.
He had no real idea about any pop culture, or what she knew about his senses (or his other self's senses either), beyond what everyone probably knew - both Miguels had crazily-sensitive eyes that couldn't cope with normal levels of lighting, hence they wore the tinted glasses and special lenses that Sarah made. He liked the term "Spidey senses", though. It sounded like something Peter Parker would have come up with.
"Last year, when I was blinded, I noticed that touch became very important," he admitted, and then turned one of his hands over to look at the fingertips, his talons clearly visible. "I don't think I've been deafened long enough for that to happen yet, so I might just cheat and ask Lyla to include something on the HUD for me. Flash a color on the edge of the lenses where the person's approaching from, perhaps."
