Annie observed Loki was quiet and gave her comment no airtime. She expected his witty retort to barb back quicker than she could write code but he didn't. The man seemed... off. Something bothering him.
She could feel it too, a strange sinking in the pit of her stomach, artificial hairs on the back of her neck tingling and a pressure about her shoulders as though someone was behind her. She took a few seconds to acclimatise to the feeling, her body miming a deep breath from subconscious reflex as she scanned in front and behind of her.
"You feel it too?" she asked. "It's familiar. Dark like... tainted flux or a Necanthrope's union. The same feeling on the station."
She brought up her neural HUD and began to analyse the energy patterns in the mine. Simultaneously, she clicked her tongue rapidly against the roof of her mouth. Her enhanced cybernetic hearing acting as SONAR and giving her a rough idea of what tunnel systems existed in a small radius around the pair.
"It feels... strongest this way..." she motioned down the tunnel. "That's where we find our answer."
