Richie was still tucking in his bed, though he'd been awake for a little while. He'd gotten as far as poking around on his phone for a little bit but not worked up the energy to actually move yet.
"Come in." he answered when Kat knocked, already knowing who was there. He wouldn't have been able to say if it was because of his shine or just because he knew Kat's knock or footsteps or anything else, but he knew it was her one way or another. He sat up in the bed and put his glasses on.
He wasn't wearing one of the long-sleeve shirts that had become a near-uniform lately, instead, finding sleep more comfortable without anything covering the mostly-healed scratches. But he didn't mind as much when it was just Kat. She was his mom, she was one of the ones who'd only looked out for him when it had all happened. Others had been concerned and shown their care in other ways, but Kat had been the one there for him. She'd found him and stayed with him, even fought with Bill to keep him home when Richie said he'd wanted his friends to stay away. She'd been concerned for Richie, rather than with Higgs.
"Hi." He greet her, smiling a little bit when he saw the hot cocoa.
