Abra, Dan, Higgs
Abra kept herself from peeking in on Dan further. If her uncle felt there was no hope to save that last part of the real Higgs, then there was no hope for redemption. Listening in on his last moments would only make her feel pity. She needed her anger more.
Abra kept swirling the sand round and round, faster and faster, until she felt hidden. Then she threw the sand at Higgs, aiming for his face at first, hoping to get it in his eyes, his nose and his mouth. He could drown in it like tar. More and more sand flew towards him. If that last part of humanity was gone, then he was nothing but a walking corpse anyway. She might as well try to bury him.
