With a smile under his hood, Higgs caught the golden disk in his palm and crushed it into dust that floated upwards towards the ceiling. He sniffed, the lining of his hood covering his eyes as he spoke.
"We did come here for safety. Of course I can see you returned to the station if you would rather?" he smiled. "There are always risks when you move from one place to the next in the seam. You can never truly forget about loss."
He shrugs, "But believe me this much, and I hope it at least allays any doubts you might be having about me. When I arrived here I was civil and told them my story to be met with suspicion and doubt. They scanned my mind and my future without consent which was a risk I could not allow. I spoke to the Loki here and he threatened me with violence and over-reacted such as his type are want to do. I spoke to an expert of magic here to help me find the item I need to bring you all here and he cast fire at me. Only those uncorrupted by Loki's honeyed words were willing to assist me."
Higgs sighs, clasping his hands in front of his body. "I gave them every chance to cooperate, I will protect my people with my lives and every particle of my being. The real question..."
Higgs steepled his index fingers together, pointing both at Chaos, "...which side do you fall on that fence?"
