The seam was an odd place, and it made his skin crawl, but hey... it was better than being dead. He watched from above his body, floating in the waters of the space in between, as Erandur slammed the knife into his head and winced. That would hurt in the morning.
The man was a healer it seemed. Higgs watched him cast the magic with his hands. Higgs grinned his rictus grin as the plan formulated in his hand.
He swam down, finding his body in the seam and prepared to return to the material. Higgs leaned down into a runners start and with thunderclap, set off into a sprint. Erandur had mere milliseconds to witness the smaller man dive into his midsection in a spear tackle. Despite his small stature, Higgs' body slammed into Erandur like a freight train, sapping the wind and strength from the warrior.
In the next instant, Higgs had taken Erandur's maul from mid air. The mechanical arm on his shoulder snapped over his body and helped him drive the warrior prone. With two rapid hammer strikes the maul rained down on Erandur's hands, blows strong enough to shatter bone to powder. Higgs threw the hammer to the side and shined off the battering with two solid, bone-shifting soccer kicks to the midsection.
The lightning crackle and thunder snap brought a little relief to Erandur. Higgs ported some 30 feet away, the mechanical arm on his back over his shoulder glowing orange, it's baleful hand snapping in Erandur's direction.
