The first breath she took felt freeing. She knew where she was. She knew they had made it. She could feel Lucy and Rachel. It was an instant give away. So she had slipped out of bed, trying not to wake John. It wasn't much of a problem. He barely stirred. The young woman made sure the glamours were in place and then got to know her surroundings. Food was the first thing she had rummaged through. There were still a spread of items on the counter.
Her heart jumped in her chest as John entered the room. She was nervous. Would she be able to pull this off? She really hoped. She hoped the glamour was enough to fool John and that her knowledge of him and acting would not let her down.
"Hello, love, I haven't slept that good in a while," she said with a sweet smile on her lips. He looked so young and even after his life had tainted him, she knew that this man still had a softness to him that her John did not have. In her old life, it would have been a weakness.
