Who: Blank, AU Blank, AU Bonnie, Scarlet Where: Wheel 1 What: AU Blank taking over When: A couple of days after Higgs broke the Heart Rating: Medium Open: Ask first. (Scarlet, yes) Status: Finished
It had been a few days since he, and the entire station had felt that warp in reality. Though, he was on high alert, and as much as he wanted to join the frey, he had from a family to take care of. He made his way from Wheel 2 with two paper bags full of groceries, going through his way through one of the many streets of Wheel 1. He and Scarlet were going to be making chicken Alfredo from scratch tonight, with Reeve getting strawberry banana baby food. His son’s favorite. Tonight wasn’t a special occasion or anything, just another night that he wanted to cook and make his family feel as special as they are to him. Dinner, a movie, maybe something more with Scarlet after they put Reeve to bed.
Ever since Higgs arrived and his intentions were made known, Blank had bunkered down, save an annoying song here or there. Even though he wanted to kick the guy in the face for what he did to John and Loki. What the man wanted or needed were the farthest things from his thoughts. Humming ‘Walking on Sunshine’ by Katrina and The Waves, the mage made his way towards their home with a little spring in his step.
“AND IT’S TIME TO FEEL GOOD!” He exclaimed out loudly, sure that there was no one around to hear him. This part of the Wheel was mostly deserted, right? He had no idea how wrong he was, because unknown to him he was being watched from the shadows by two figures. They had masked themselves from any physical or mystical senses he had.
“Really? ‘Walking On Sunshine?’ Gods.. Are you sure I can’t kill him?” One of the figures turned their head as they spoke to the other. There was an almost envious tone to this one’s voice, though. The other sighed and shook their head in exasperation.
“Not on your best day… We have our orders.” The other shifted slightly on their feet as they continued to watch him for a few moments more. “C’mon, let’s get this over with.” The first one nodded back to the other and they both disappeared.
As he continued his way home, an old friend made her way to him from the opposite end of the street. His eyes widened in excitement when they caught her. “Holy crap! Bonnie!” Blank said joyously, he knew she had been on the station, but they hadn’t gotten a chance to talk before all this craziness began.
“Hey, stranger. Been a while.” Her tone was soft, as she waved her hand to him. The first thing Blank noticed was that her colors were more muted than usual. Which was odd, she had always been so bright. Then again, he hadn’t seen her in a few years, so maybe something happened. His eyebrow cocked as they both made their way to each other.
“It has! I’m sorry I haven’t gotten the chance to really talk to you. Ever since this Higgs guy showed up, I’ve been laying low to stay out of trouble.” The smile on his face widened as he stopped a few feet in front of her.
“Until you need to cause it.” Bonnie smirked lightly at him as she halted at about the same distance. Of course she knew how he usually acted, she was one of his oldest friends. Muted green, violet, and blue shifted through out her body.
“Well, you know me. Bu…No, not this time…” Blank trailed off for a moment, his head turning away from her slightly as his cheeks when slightly red. She knew how he was: ‘Act first, who gives a shit later.’ “Hey! Come an join us for dinner? I know Scarlet would love to see you, and you can meet Reeve!” He turned his head back to her with a big innocent smile smile going over his lips. Bonnie was one of his oldest friends, and ever since she showed up, they hadn’t even seen each other, Blank was excited for a full family dinner.
“As much as I would love to.” She paused for a moment, the newly formed smirk on her face betraying her. “I’m sorry, I can’t.. We’re on a mission.”
“... We?” Before he could even process what she meant by that, an arm wrapped his throat, followed by a hand coming up from the opposite side. Blank grabbed on to this one as to not let whoever this was to get a grip on their hold. In that same instance, the shaolin mage turned his upper body, delivering an elbow to the side of his attacker. They groaned out in pain as Blank moved away from them, but kept hold of their wrist, turning his body he unleashed a harsh spinning kick to their sternum. “Picked the wrong guy to try to chokeho-” His sentence stopped right there when he got the sight of his attacker… Himself. “Who the fuck are you?”
The other Blank held his stomach for a second before looking at his counterpart, a grin on his face slightly more emaciated face. “Oof… Fuck! That was a solid kick, there, buddy.” Other Blank’s laughter echoed throughout the entire street as his ki began to flare up. Unlike the true Blank’s it was crimson and had what looked to be tentacles waving about wildly. “Why, Blank… I’m you. Now…” The doppelgangers eyes flashed the same crimson as its’ aura.
“What are you, evil me? Psft… Where’s your goatee?” True Blank took a step back, turning his head to find that Bonnie was now missing. That wasn’t good. No matter. His focus remained on his doppelganger. Setting down his groceries, he got into his fighting stance, his own ki flaring its signature green. He didn’t know what was going on, but if this person was his double, then he had to be prepared that they both had the same fighting styles, which meant he had to improvise. Sadly, they wouldn’t be able to find out what their match up would have been as a thin beam of light hit him directly in his right temple, knocking him out cold. True Blank slumped on to the ground.
“Hey!” The doppelganger yelled at his partner with a deep frown on his face, his ki dying down as he as he stepped aggressively to the one who stopped their fight so unceremoniously. “Bonnie! C’mon! I was about to tell him about the goatee and kick his ass!”
“Sure you were. And you were also going to alert everyone on this Wheel to us! We’re supposed to be tactful and stealth here, you idiot!” Bonnie yelled back, her muted colors being mostly red and green. She made her way to True Blank’s body, shoving him lightly with her foot. “Take his phone, and let’s get him to the room. Quickly.”
“Yeah, yeah… ‘tactful and stealth..’ Shaved my goatee for this…” Other Blank rolled his eyes while he mumbled under his breath. He walked up to his other’s body, grabbing his phone from his pocket before leaning down fully and lifting the body over his shoulder with a grunt of effort. “Gods, he is heavy. Grab the bags, we don’t want anyone to see them, right?”
Soon, they would be in high floor room of one of the abandoned hotels in Wheel 1. Other Blank himself magically sealed the room with dark magics True Blank would never even had dream of. Bonnie followed Other Blank as he entered the room. It was one of the nicer two bed suites, and on one bed was the True Bonnie, who’s color was now grey. They had gotten to her just as they had arrived. Some Queen… Other Blank placed the real Blank on the other bed, putting his thumb on his forehead as he cast a powerful sleeping spell.
“This should hold for a few days, at least.” Other Blank spoke before he began rummaging through True Blank’s phone, trying to get as much information as he could. “Hm.. Looks like he has a wife and kid here…. Wait… His wife is a ghost.” This revelation made him frown slightly as he looked at his other self. “ Oh, Blanky boy, you’re supposed to exorcise the ghosts, not marry them!” The Other paused for a moment. “Shit, she’s going to be so pissed if she finds out about this!” There was a deep seeded fear in Other Blank’s voice when he spoke of ‘she.’
“Mm, but this is a different universe, you know how that works.” Bonnie retorted as she set the grocery bags down on a nearby table. “I mean, look at Her!” She nodded her head at herself. “She’s so bright, so colorful, I guarantee she’s never even had to think about anything that we’ve gone through.” There was a jealous tone to her voice. Though, jealousy may have not be the correct word. Rage and avarice may have fit better. And, it showed.
“Probably not, but we’ve been here a couple days now, and this place is plenty stocked. Maybe we should just stay..” Other Blank spoke as he put the phone in his pocket and made his way toward the table. He began to look through the bags. “Oh, lords… He’s planning on making chicken alfredo! With garlic bread! A man after my own heart!” He grinned tugged at his lips as he glanced over to Bonnie. “I should probably get going, if he’s gone too long, the ghost might get suspicious.” Other Blank grabbed onto the bags, and began to make his away toward the door.
An almost annoyed Bonnie coughed loudly causing Other Blank to stop in his tracks. “Aren’t you missing something?” When he looked back at her, she waved her hands around her body, then put up her left hand. Other Blank glanced from her to the sleeping body on the bed.
“Right.” With a small spell, he changed his clothing to match True Blank’s. “How do I look?” He teased his partner while he set the bags down against the door, before making his way to True Blank’s left side, and lifted up his wrist so their ring fingers were level. The ring looked like Johnn’s tech… Poor Johnn, Other Blank lamented on his friend for just a moment before he slid the ring from True Blank’s fingers to his own, making sure there was no missed contact. Gods know what kind of safety measures that roboman put into these rings. But, it didn’t seem to affect anything, in fact, Other Blank got a rush of energy he had never felt before. An energy far more pure than what he was used to. He could tell the exactly location of where Scarlet and Reeve were without even thinking about it. “Hoooly shit, that’s cool! I can feel where the ghost is… Oooh. This is definitely a piece of tech from Johnn…” Other Blank confirmed his suspicion to himself. “You clever bastard!”
Other Bonnie frowned lightly when Other Blank mentioned Johnn’s name. They had lost him a while back, in a failed attempted to save their own station. “Just… Just go and do your job, Blank. Don’t make me do it.” Her muted colors were all over the Spectrum as she spoke.
“Yeah, okay..” Other Blank spoke solemnly, realizing his mistake right there. They had lost a friend to all this. Slowly, made his way to the door and picked up the grocery bags once again. Turning his head over to Other Bonnie. “What do you plan on doing?”
Other Bonnie stayed quiet for just a moment before turning her gaze to him. She had a few plans of her own, Higgs wanted them to create chaos, and chaos she would create. “Well, after Higgs comes and picks these two up, I was thinking of visiting an old friend…”
Her entire face turned into an mischievous grin as Other Blank nodded and left the hotel room. Almost as soon as the door closed behind him, it opened once more with his head peeking through. “… You meant Johnn, right?”
“GO!” She snarled at the mage, her body’s colors flaring up a muted red color.
“Okay, got it… Jeez.. Bite my head off, whydontcha?” Other Blank was startled at first, but ended up trailing off his sentence as he shut the door. He had a date with a ghost…. And ‘their’ child.
