It took crossing a few more dunes, the expansive and quasi-infinite nature of the beach a little confusing to navigate. As Dan began to get confident he was nearly back where he started, he found himself in company again.
This time further down the beach, standing where Dan had arrived with surf lapping up and around the ankles of his boots, was Higgs. He stood, his hands clasped in front of himself, fingers interlocked. The golden skull mask glimmered under his hood and it's eyes fixed upon Dan.
