Who? Thorin & OPEN
Where? Wandering into the city
What? Thorin is lonely and wants to make sure he's not completely alone.
When? Monday morning
Rating? Low
Status? Open.
Thorin is alone.
He has only just found them again, and now he is alone. Only just got both of his nephews back, and Bilbo. And now they are gone again.
At first he waits. He waits because sometimes his nephews go wandering, they go off to have their own adventures, though Thorin has told him over and over again that they need to tell him when they go somewhere, so that he doesn't send out search parties.
But that was then. This is now. And he doesn't actually have that kind of manpower. He doesn't have anything.
So he waits for a while. A few days. Wonders if they'll come back.
They don't.
Nearly a week passes and when Thorin realises that he's doing nothing. He's doing nothing but sitting in the cave. Bilbo wouldn't go anywhere, that's the thing. But he isn't at the place he is making his home, he isn't the kind to go wandering off into the unknown, especially not just with two excitable young dwarves.
Thorin realises he's going to have to go on his own. He's going to have to go and find the human's dwellings and see if he is alone. If not, perhaps they know where his nephews and the hobbit are.
The woods bleed into the stone city with it's odd colours and shapes and lights, things that Thorin really doesn't understand. But there are people. There is so much about them that he doesn't understand. But they are still here, and that is a good thing. He takes a deep breath and walks slowly forward, hoping to find some answers, hoping to find someone who can tell him where to find his family.
“Does the human heart know chasms so abysmal?”
