"Well then you've gotta forgive me for makin' assumptions here, but that was at the very least five years ago, otherwise you're the most mature looking twelve-year-old I've ever seen." He said, trying to be a little playful for his own sake. Hopefully, that meant she had chosen to stay, that he might still be able to leave whenever he liked. Though really, what was left for him back home? Maybe his mother? He hadn't seen her in years. Everything he'd built for himself in Vegas was probably gone by now. The Elite probably couldn't reach him. Kay, well, she didn't want to see him anymore, something he could live with if he wasn't mostly certain he was going to see her on TV nearly every day. Maybe spending some time somewhere she didn't exist would be good for him.
Still, the point was that he wanted the option to come and go as he pleased, he hated being tied down.
