Something was wrong. Very wrong. The Captain had awoken from his slumber to find himself lying in a hammock, located in what looked and felt like the lower deck of a ship in dock. Yet he was sure he had fallen asleep on the station. Not only that but it looked like the crews quarters. Perhaps even the same quarters on his own ship. Yet there was no crew. The place was empty, void of life, save one other person. One who looked like he certainly did not belong on the vessel.
There were a variety of hammocks strung up for the rest of the crew, very few with blankets given they had been sailing around the Caribbean. Between each of the hammocks were wooden chests, some of them open and some of them closed, maybe even locked. At the end of the room there was a wooden wall, splitting that part of the ship off from the rest, and along with that a wooden door, which Edward did not recognise it. Beside the door was a strange looking slot in the wall.
Edward, dressed in a loose fitting shirt and trousers, swung himself free from the hammock and stood up. Maybe he could find some clothing? He knew he'd have to get to his own quarters and they were up on the deck level. He had a strange feeling about everything. Nothing seemed to make sense but then again neither had his arrival on the station either.
He walked over to the stranger and reached down, roughly shaking his shoulder. "Wake up. Are you from the station?" he asked in his Welsh accent, his voice commanding and eve a little rough. He was fairly certain the other man hadn't brought them to the ship, that much seemed obvious enough but something was happening. To both of them. And they needed to work it out before anything bad happened.
