"Not yet" he replied, before walking over to try the handle. The door didn't budge. "That never used to be there" he said, leaning back slightly and reaching to tap the keypad beside the door. "Dad might have been secure but not that much. At least not for his personal office..." he added, turning around to face Zatanna.
"Maybe there's something in this room. A code or something. Might get us out of here. I'm expecting the rest of the office outside but... at the same time, I'm not" he added, walking over to his Dad's desk to start looking. It didn't feel right. He never poked around his Dad's stuff because it was personal, even if his desk was located at work. He knew better than to annoy the old man, and he was good at annoying him. At least until they had started working together.
"I don't think I can learn magic. I mean, at least I don't think so. The Atlantis that I come from well... let's put it this way. We sort of surpassed humanity, Heaven got pissed off... Leviathan was involved, Atlantis ended up under the waves" he shrugged. "There wasn't so much focus on magic but rather creating technology around essence channelling, and advancing ourselves to be more intelligent, quicker, stronger. And... well undying."
