Zee liked to think she was fairly practical where magic was concerned, perhaps not in the sense that she used it to do everything from getting into bed slightly faster to putting on her makeup on for her, but in general, she did her best to keep herself safe. For the first few weeks on the station, she'd set up traps and protective spells in her bedroom before she went to bed every evening, largely due to the fact that she didn't wholly trust the ambient magic. But she'd grown comfortable. She'd grown so comfortable that one by one she'd lessened the number of protections she had until it was one single spell that was designed to wake her if someone crossed the threshold without her invitation, but she'd put no such spell on waking her if she was the one that crossed the threshold.
After this she might think to set one.
She didn't jolt awake but she was clearly shocked to wake to a face leaning over her she didn't recognize. At least he was quick to explain who he was and what was going on, she really did appreciate that, especially after a decade of working with the League and waking up strange places because of it. There weren't a lot of situations where someone explained themselves. It was just unfortunate that his news wasn't all good.
Groaning softly, she pushed herself to sit up, taking the moment to reassure herself that she was still wearing the last thing she'd remembered herself in. Black shorts over dark leggings, a loose wine-colored teeshirt with the words 'as above so below' printed in a rough white font under a black leather jacket that matched the material of her high boots. Her wand was still in her inner pocket as were the deck of playing cards but her hat was missing. She might have left it in her room, she couldn't remember. "Zatanna." She said in greeting before glancing about the room they were in. "Is this still the station?"
