Bryn | Jacob | Edward
Bryn had saved him from saying something entirely inappropriate to Edward which in turn saved him from the red color he would have turned if he'd been allowed to say what he'd been thinking. He was grateful, especially as they wouldn't have let him hear the end of it all evening. They enjoyed teasing him far too much. "Oh, I ascended. He crawled. And Eddie is still frightfully sore about it. He has objections to my grappling hook, or he objects to the fact that he doesn't have one himself. Such is the benefit of the advancement of technology, he really ought to get with the times." He looked to Edward, giving him a flirtatious smile. "Though I could be convinced to share it with you with the right incentive."
Of course, he was downplaying it all. He didn't want her worried, and he honestly didn't want to stand in the middle of a crowded party and explain just how and why assassins were able to throw themselves from heights far higher than a typical man would survive. He would tell her later if she was curious, she was wearing their symbol already and after their last discussion, there was no point in secrets.
