He followed him, stopping at the doorway but his watchful eye followed him, wanting to be certain he was fine. He had noticed a bit of a mood shift in his friend, and he chalked that up to his pain and the drink in his system. As long as he wasn't sobbing enough to work himself into a fit, Jacob assumed he would be fine on that front for now.
"You wouldn't wish to sleep with me either, Eddie." He said, mostly certain he was correct when it came to every definition of the word. The pirate was drunk, Jacob could forgive him the flirtation, and in the morning he'd likely forget anyway as he couldn't have been serious. When it came to actual sleep, they had tried that, they had draped themselves across the furniture on the first night as neither had wanted to be alone. Jacob had woken with a dry mouth, certain he'd spent the night trying out snore Edward, it was something that they probably shouldn't subject each other to again.
"I'll be out here for a while yet, shout if you need anything." He said, fully expecting the man to sleep for an hour or two and then call for rum.
