That stagger was enough to get Jacob wrapping an arm around Edward, tucking himself up under the man's arm and pulling it over his shoulder. Their height difference was especially noticeable when Jacob wasn't wearing a hat, just as he wasn't that night, so probing him up and guiding him was easier than it could have been if they'd been matched. Or so he told himself when he was so close to the man and was so bluntly reminded that being of equal height to his twin might have been impressive for her but not nearly as impressive for him.
"If you're going to come in here and sing your shanties someone ought to at least come play the piano to accompany you. Musicians have to be cheaper in the future, right?" He said, trying to keep Edward distracted as they headed off together. "So many of them have recordings, you have to figure the ones who don't have to be eager to sell their services for whatever they can get."
