"You're just too damn social for your own good, Eddie." Jacob knew. Maybe he didn't know when exactly his first wife passed but he knew that his daughter took her mother's surname whereas Haytham had kept Kenway and had a different mother. He did feel for the man though, he couldn't imagine how it felt to lose a wife, even an estranged one. It was fairly obvious to him that he'd tried to hide his feelings and stick close to Jacob but when Jacob wasn't there he let himself crawl into a bottle. He didn't really blame Edward for that either. That was what one did. Better drinking that throwing himself into fights or hurting himself in other ways. It would have been different if they had work to turn to, but there wasn't much the brotherhood needed to concern itself with on the station.
He watched his friend as he took a seat beside him, letting him talk if he was in the mood for it.
"And Jennifer?" He asked, hoping that the drink would help him forget that Jacob mentioned her when he sobered up. "She was with her, right? I don't remember any of Evie's stories mentioning you had a little girl on your crew."
