"You keep talking like that and someone is going to cast you as the lead in some low-rent panto." Jacob said, taking the bottle from him when Edward offered it. He saw no harm in sharing a drink with him, it might make it easier to get him back home. The trick would be keeping himself from having more than one. He didn't like getting drunk all that much, he drank like a fish, had bottles all over the place in his train car and in his flat though he knew his limits. But those times he did get drunk he found it was a good way to forget about things at least for a little while.
He assumed Edward was drinking to deal with whatever it was that had been on his mind since some of his things appeared. Something to do with his wife if his mentioning her name was any indication. He took a long swig and offered the bottle back to Edward, "How long have you been here?"
