When he got hit by Johnn, he let out a soft yelp. "Ow!" Luckily, Reeve barely stirred, having Binx next to him seemed to help in the baby's comfort level.
The mage listened to his friend's stern lecture, and returned the hug when it was given. Johnn was right on all of his points, Blank was sure of it. Sure that more people came to him while he grieved Scarlet's disappearance. He just couldn't remember, as he thought before, it was a massive blur to him. But, he did remember the residents of Little Asgard being there for Reeve, and that was far more important than anyone trying to look after the mage. Blank leaned in to the hug, it felt good to have his friend here. Even though that friend just gave him a good thwack on the head.
"I'll try." The mage knew better than to promise something he could not deliver, even if it for his benefit. He had no idea how the offended parties would react to his attempts to apologize.
"Thank you, Johnn." As they were alone, he squeezed against his robotic 'brother.' It did not matter if any one else walked in, the spectral detective was just glad to get all of it out. Though just as Blank was about to speak again.
Binx came out of 'sleep mode' and announced: "Reeve is ten seconds away from urination." All the both of them could do was laugh in their familiar embrace, the tension of their conversation was broken. They laughed, until ten seconds later, when Reeve woke up wailing.
"I think it's your turn, buddy." Blank released the embrace, looking between his son and his friend.
