Dan had gotten Hródolf to take him back to the Door as quickly as possible so he could get cleaned up. They'd been out in the forest, and Hródolf didn't always believe in sticking to paths or avoiding the mud. A quick scrub in the nearest available bathroom, and Dan was soon back in Asgard and heading for the palace.
He waited at the entrance, having told one of the guards that Lady Frigga had invited him to come and visit, and waited for a few minutes while things were checked out. He gawked all round him like a tourist, and that didn't stop when the guard waved him through and then escorted him up to wait while the handmaidens were told he'd arrived.
Finally, he was led into the throne room, his head on a swivel as he tried to take it all in, and then he was standing in front of Frigga. His stunned expression at just how beautiful Asgard was must have been pretty damn funny, but it only lasted a moment before he grinned at his friend. Bowing like he'd been shown, he then straightened up and his grin softened into a smile. "Thank you for agreeing to talk to me, Lady Frigga," he said, unaware of any sort of courtly etiquette and just being as polite as he could. She was a queen, after all.
