"Oh, I would have lost those notes instantly and would have forgotten half of them in my search. Better to simply send you a message when I need a refresher." He said with a smile that suggested it would have been an excuse to talk to her. He wasn't feeling flustered or concerned she might kick him out. There was no need to cover his nerves with flirtation when he didn't have any nerves to begin with. He could be charming simply for the sake of being charming.
"Cheers, love." He gave her a smile and nod before picking up his cup. It tasted much like the other teas he'd had on the station which wasn't a complaint. There was a clear difference, of course, he imagined it had a lot to do with water quality and where the tea had been grown and how, and he was quickly deciding that he quite liked modern tea more than he'd expected to. He made a soft pleased sound after finishing his sip and reached for one of the cookies, "It must be nice to have so much family so close."
