Zatanna Zatara ([info]backwardstalk) wrote in [info]spinningcompass,
"Is this the part of the park where we stare off into the water in a brooding manner?" The tuxedo cat asked, stopping at the edge of the water to stretch, first her front half and then her back. Of course, she couldn't just sit there after her stretch, the spell had included a red dotted bowtie and before her fuzzy bottom got too comfortable on the ground, one back leg came up and she scratched at the skin under the tie. "I've managed to lose most of my dignity at this point so I'm hoping that at least trying to look enigmatic might save me. Cats are supposed to look inscrutable, aren't they? I don't know how they do it."

She dropped down from her sitting pose to something closer to what was called a loaf, with her feet tucked up under her, and she sniffed lightly at the water. "Screw it, do you think anyone would mind if I murdered an obnoxious scouser and tossed him in there? He's skinny so it wouldn't be hard to weigh him down so he wouldn't float."
