"Here we are." Jacob nodded in agreement. "I hopped a train going from Crawley to London, hoping to liberate a city. I didn't intend to go beyond London, but then my sister invited me to India and I could not tell her no. When I got back to London I never planned on leaving it again. I'm not sure if that means I am destined to return to it or if, like most things in my life, things are not going as I planned." He shrugged to himself then glanced to Edward. "You're certainly getting your adventure though, you cannot fault whatever that girl planned when she brought us here for that."
The place seemed to glitter around them though. If Edward wanted gold they could conceivably fill their pockets in a place like this. It seemed to be dripping in gold. There was so much of it around them that it hardly seemed valuable, and then back on the station, money or gold itself didn't seem to matter much. There seemed no point to Jacob to try to collect any while they were off the station, it would likely just take up space when they got back.
"Of course, in your search, you found the order." He said lowering his voice a bit. "Did that change things for you? My sister had-" He cut that off quickly. "I'm not going to tell you about your future unless you truly do wish to hear it. But I was a little curious as to why you decided to join us when your motivations were always so clear."
