"I think our dear pirate friend is shy, that's alright, Edward. We'll find another way." Jacob smirked to himself glancing between them as he took the opened bottle, though the small lifting of his eyebrows might have suggested that he believed Edward was considering another form of payment for his booze in the future. Maybe one that would require more of his skin. Who was to say? Certainly not Jacob. He would never encourage that sort of exchange, he was a good and proper gentleman with no understanding of any sort of lecherous activity.
No, the young lady he had been courting wasn't with child. The very idea that Jacob could take part in something so morally out of line was frankly unthinkable.

"Specifically members of the crow family, strangely enough." He tilted his head and looked to Edward again, the realization of their similarity only just hitting him. "Not eagles. Rooks and jackdaws. It should have been eagles though, should it not?"
