Edward tried to study the strange thing he was holding without touching anything that might make it do something else unexpected. The Welshman had never seen anything quite like it in all of his years. It lit up like a lantern or a torch but without a burning heat. It was coloured a brilliant white, which differed to the soft golden glow of a candles flame, or a campfire. So there was no fire within it. And what was Jacob on about? Electricity? He sounded mad...
The pirate lifted his gaze from the phone to look at Jacob, a curious and baffled expression on his face. Why would he ask such a question? "What do you mean, what year was it? Are you daft, man? 1721" he replied. Then again, they had both been taken to another place somehow. Was that really such an odd question to ask? Well, yes, yes it was.
He tucked the strange device back into the pouch he found it in and looked down the hall. "Maybe we should take a look around, see if we can find any clues. There must be something that should tell us where we are and how we got here..." he said, more to himself than anything, as he stepped away from Jacob.
