"I put it out already..." John lied. In truth, he had just put the damn thing about. He sneakily wafted the his sleeve, and dropped the cigarette end off behind a bench as they walked.
"You're really enjoying yourself, aren't you?" he asked with that cocky knowing look. "Of course you are. You like being recognised. Being recognised for you is different. Chances are if someone recognises me, I probably owe them, or pissed them off" he added. "Or both"
Which was a fair point. And often times if someone knew who he was, they were there to annoy him with questions about magic, asking about what is real and what isn't. Gary had been annoying like that with the Legends. And much like the guy they had just spoken to, was overly enthusiastic.
"So now what?" he asked. "What are we supposed to do? Pretend to be doing fancy dress like this lot?" he asked, gesturing to a passing group of Attack on Titan cosplayers, all done up in their uniforms.
