Rescuing John - Inside Nergal's Lair
Bryn had followed the young Mage, quietly pondering whether or not she could duplicate that spell, in blood. It kept her mind off the screams, and the sounds that made her want to kick down every door they passed. Her ears strained to listen for that familiar heartbeat. She felt tense every step they took, without hearing it. Fear creeping into her bones. It wasn't until they reached the door that she heard it. It was so faint. Was that this place? Or was he that weak?
She had forgot to breathe, not that she had to, until Zatanna said something. And when she did... She had only smelled John's blood on a very few numbered occasions. She clenched her teeth together when the pungent smell hit her, when that door opened. If he didn't pay today, Nergal would pay as soon as she could get back to him.
Turning to Laura. "Keep her safe, I don't know if anything you can do to him, or any of the others for that matter, will be permanent, but it will put them down for a little bit."
The dark haired assassin, which had moved without a sound. Nodded. And with a little flash of a grin she pulled out a silver, pearl handled handgun. "I 'borrowed' this from Winchester. It has bullets made from angels blades, if they work the bullets should too." Really she had lifted it off of him while he wasn't paying attention. She slipped it back into the rear of her pants for ease of access. "If anything happens to my daughter, know I will hold you fully responsible."
Great. The vampire nodded in response and turned to Gen. "Let's go in. I'll close and seal the door, for as long as we need."
