"Asgard? I do not know of such a place" Artorias replied. Was it some far and distant land he had never heard of? Perhaps it was some long forgotten place, beyond the edge of the world, beyond the Ringed City. Or maybe it was the new name for a far away Kingdom? Not a place populated by humans, the Knight assumed, given that the woman who stood before him had to sign of a dark soul within her. In fact, he couldn't sense any sign of the dark soul at all. And if there was no darkness, what of the first flame? Did it still burn? Or was this another age? An age that Gwyn did not forsee?
"It is quite all right. I am able to carry my blade. Thou hast shown me plentiful kindness, my Lady" he replied. "Come, Sif. There is much we need to learn of this place" he said to the wolf pup. The wolf walked obediently by his side.
Sif was by no means domesticated, but she was loyal to the knight, and she recognised that nobility in Frigga. But no matter how kind, how good someone seemed, if they were to show any signs of the abyss or attack Artorias, she would defend him with her life.
