Richie and Eddie, possibly open to others.
Eddie had dressed up for the party in a suit. He hadn't bothered with a tie and wore sneakers instead of dress shoes, to keep from being too much. He didn't want Richie to know he was trying to look good for him. He wasn't sure if boys did that. He hadn't done as much research as his friend for once.
As they walked over, Eddie rambled on as he did when he was nervous, talking about their classes, the wolves and anything else that popped into his mind. He fought back a twinge of disappointment when they got to the party and Richie disappeared. He told himself that Rich wanted to get to the food quickly, before all the good stuff was gone. Eddie would have slowed him down.
Eddie hung back from the party, watching everyone. His attention focused on two girls (Robin and Sophia), one in suit/tux and the other in a suit dress. They were together and clearly not worried about traditional girl stuff. That was cool. Maybe he'd wear pink to the next party or for Valentine's day. Not just pale pink like he wore back home. A bright, obvious pink. Maybe with hearts or glitter.
After a moment, Eddie started to worry that the girls, or worse Richie, would think he was checking them out. He looked away, spotting Richie by the counter and walked over. "All you got is a sandwich? Dude, have you seen the little desserts?" He looked over at them, purposely taking a small peanut butter cookie and taking a bite. Cuddy had said peanuts were okay. He was only allergic to tree nuts, like cashews. Peanuts simply seemed like the scariest, because of stuff he'd read on his phone. He finished his bite, proud of himself. "See, better than a sandwich."
