Biology
Miguel sat on the table at the front of his classroom, talking quietly with Lyla as his class made their way in and took their seats. Once everyone was sitting, he hopped down onto the floor and looked all round at his new pupils.
"Welcome to Biology," he began, as Lyla changed into her teaching outfit - she was suddenly wearing a pair of glasses, and a lab coat like Sarah's. "For those of you who don't know me yet, my name is Dr Miguel O'Hara, and I'm a geneticist. You can call me Miguel, if you want. I'm also from the year 2099, so unless you're from further ahead of me in time, I can guarantee that you don't know everything I'm going to be teaching you."
"This is my holo-agent Lyla," Miguel continued, as Lyla stepped forward and waved at everyone. "Normally, she'll be my teaching assistant, but for the next week or so, she's going to be your teacher since I'm getting married on Wednesday and I'm not taking time out of my wedding to teach anyone anything. Lyla knows everything I know, and she's a solid-light holographic AI who is everywhere in the room at once and with me at the same time, so if you're considering acting like a bit-head just because I'm not in the room, think again. Lyla will know about it, and that means I will as well."
Lyla took over at that point, looking incredibly serious all of a sudden with her hands clasped behind her back and no hint of a smile on her face. "I will need to test everyone's knowledge of biology before we can work out a detailed syllabus for the class, and for individual pupils if necessary. Do not worry about the lack of time for revision, it has been taken into account. Does anyone have any questions before Miguel leaves to continue preparing for the wedding?"
