Eddie picked up for the change in Bill's tone immediately. The clown wasn't here; he wouldn't lie about that. Something else was wrong. "Ben, Stan, Mike and Bev are gonna be okay back in Derry right?" Dan had said his mother wouldn't notice he'd be gone. He cared about his friends even more. "The clown's supposed to be gone, at least until we're old."
