Eddie walked into the food court and stood back from group, watching the people willing to go and fight the clown. He could feel his stomach knot up and a dull ache in his chest. He had moments when he simply wanted to stay on the station and forget about the door completely. His friends and these strangers didn't seem to have the same hesitation. They were all ready to be heroes for the kids of Derry. In a way, they were all fighting for his life too - change the past, change the future. That ache in his chest was starting to spread.
Eddie walked the rest of the way to Bucky's section. At least he had experience with parties - work obligations and social events with Myra. He could be social for the sake of everyone willing to help with Pennywise. Hell, maybe Richie was right and he did need more friends. First he had to take care of that nagging chest pain. There was no way he'd admit it was guilt, the weight of what was being asked of complete strangers crushing his chest. It was easier to be sick. He swallowed a couple pills and then got himself a cup of coffee, looking around for someone to talk to.
