Bucky didn't comment about her parents, it was obviously something she didn't want to think about for now. So he just gave her hand a squeeze as they took off out of the store. He was grateful they weren't too far from the library.
Bucky jumped when she screamed. He'd felt her getting tense and speeding up but it was odd, seeing something scare her so much without actually seeing it at all. "Yeah. We're almost there, c'mon." he encouraged, directing them toward the steps to the library.
They burst through the door and the librarian seemed to be the only one there, she glanced up but didn't pay them much mind. Bucky vaguely remembered someone mentioning it, that the monster made the adults in the town not notice the strange things. Bucky supposed it was unintentionally working to cover the comings and goings of all of the station occupants. Whatever it was, it was in their favor today, last thing they needed was someone stopping and questioning them. "Just another minute..." he mumbled, keeping a quick pace even inside.
