Bucky tried to look like he was interested in the rack in front of him but he was slowly scanning the store. He noticed her panic, tried to see what she was, but he couldn't. It wasn't for him.
"Hey, hey." he crowded close to the girl, trying to get between her and whatever she was looking at, though he didn't know if he actually had or not. He realized she was from the station now, recognized her from the network.
"No one else hears it, it's fucking with you." he told her, putting a hand on her shoulder. "No one knows anything."
He didn't really know what to do, they were pulling a little more attention already than they probably should and he didn't know enough about this thing. He did his best not to panic and did the only thing he could think of. He moved them so her back was to one of the walls in a quiet section and he stood in front of her, blocking her view of the rest of the store. "Try to look at me." he told her, "Focus on me."
"My name's Bucky. You're here from the station right?" he said, just loud enough for the two of them.
