"Yep." She stepped to the side of the small memorial and flicked a switch. A very real looking hologram, it could even be touched, of the wall she'd talked about. The stones looked like stones, the names carved in them could even be traced. She knew a lot of the names on it. And it ran down the path. "It doesn't make it any easier either. But it does help me get used to it. I'll have to see a whole lot of it before my road ends." That was the hard part about living in this place for so long. Sometimes you met your fate face to face.
Maryanne stepped back so to his side, so she could take in more of it. "I've been here since the beginning. And have promised Kat not to off myself, and help keep her Dad from spiraling. But that's a long time from now. Considering I have kids when I'm 94, a really long time from now." Though who knew if that future was even going to happen now. Everything except the near future seemed uncertain.
